| 内容記述 | 日本では、社会福祉学は社会学の一部門として発展してきた。しかし近年では、両者はもはや別々の独立した学問と見なされることが多くなっている。本稿は、日本の社会福祉学の発展をふりかえり、社会学が寄与した点を二点指摘する。第一は、1960年代の「生活」や「コミュニティ」をテーマにした社会学研究によって、従来は所得水準にのみ関心を集中していた社会福祉学が幅広く「生活問題」や社会環境の問題にも関心を広げるきっかけを得たことである。第二は、心理学的分析が支持されることによって臨床心理士の仕事が増えるように、政府が社会学的分析を採用すればソーシャルワーカーの雇用が増えるという関係にあることである。したがって、社会学的なものの見方が20世紀の日本社会に徐々に一般化するにともなって、公的機関で雇用されるソーシャルワーカーが増加していったと考えることができる。今後の社会福祉学において期待される社会学的視点を用いた研究例として、福祉国家の社会史的研究と、個別援助実践の民族誌的研究と、社会福祉行政の政策過程分析の3つを示した。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | Japanese social welfare studies developed as a branch of sociology. However, these two disciplines are increasingly regarded as independent from each other. This study suggests that Japanese sociology played a significant role for the development of social welfare studies in Japan in the following two respects. Firstly, sociological studies of life and community which were made in the 1960's encouraged social welfare studies to shift their interests from individual incomes to life circumstances and a wider social context. Secondly, when a government adopts sociological analysis it employs more social workers, whereas it employs more clinical psychologists when it adopts medical and psychological analysis. In that sense, as sociological views gradually diffused in Japan in the 20th century, the number of social workers employed in the public sector increased. For the future of social welfare studies, it is suggested that sociological perspectives can contribute in terms of the following three areas of study: social history of the welfare state, ethnographic casework research, and policy process analysis of social services. | |||||
