| 内容記述 | 民間スポーツクラブの選手育成の場において、競技成績の高さは一般に高度な技術指導や十分なトレーニングによって作り出されると考えられている。しかし筆者は、民間スポーツクラブでも学校運動部活動と同様に競技力向上だけではなく指導者の教育的配慮が求められており、その配慮が競技成績に関係すると考えた。そこで本研究では、民間スイミングクラブという環境下での選手育成が実際にどのように行われているのかを明らかにすることにした。その方法として、まず民間スポーツクラブの選手育成に関する先行研究を調べたうえで、日本の競技スポーツを取り巻く環境の変化について、2000年以降のスポーツ政策の変化から明らかにした。加えて、そこでキーワードとなっていた「人間力」という言葉について誕生と転用の経緯を探った。次に、大阪府下に所在する民間スイミングクラブで全国大会に選手を輩出しているクラブにおいて選手育成行っている指導者6 名を対象にアンケート調査とインタビュー調査を実施した。アンケート調査では、民間スイミングクラブにおいて選手育成クラスがどのような条件で開設されているのかを明らかにした。そのうえで、インタビュー調査では、指導者が現場で選手に行う指導の詳細を質問し、分析を行った。その結果、民間スイミングクラブでは選手育成を行う際に、多くの選手が小学校低学年から選手育成クラスで練習を始め、中学・高校に進学しても同じ環境で一貫したトレーニングが行えていることがわかった。またその際、水泳の技術を学ぶだけではなく、「人間力」という言葉に集約されるようなスポーツを通じた教育が行われていることが明らかとなった。さらに、学校外教育機関として、選手の進学とキャリア形成の手助けをする機能を果たしていることも明確になった。 | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | The high level of performance outcomes by athletes at private sports clubs is generally attributed to advanced technical instructions and sufficient training. However, it is possible that, educational concerns by the coaches on education and the competition results. Therefore, this study aims to demonstrate how athlete development is actually implemented within private swimming clubs. First, previous studies on athlete development at private sports clubs were examined, followed by a scrutiny of the changes in sports policies since 2000, particularly regarding the evolving landscape of competitive sports in Japan. Furthermore, the study investigated the emergence and adoption of the term “human qualities” in this field. Next, two surveys were performed on the instructors of six private swimming clubs in Osaka. A questionnaire attempted to examine the conditions under which athlete development classes in private swimming clubs. Additionally, interviews inquired about and analyzed the details of the guidance that coaches provide to the athletes on-site. The results revealed that when athletes are trained at private swimming clubs, many of them start practicing during their early years of elementary school. They are trained consistently in the same environment even in junior and senior high schools. Furthermore, this training not only teaches swimming techniques but also imparts humanistic education through this sport, which can be termed as “human qualities.” The study also noted that out-of-school education assisted athletes in their progression to higher education and in developing their careers. | |||||||||
