| 内容記述 | 報道には必ず選択と強調が伴う。特に、新聞メデイアは「見出し」の大きさなどいわば言外の表現方法によって、無意識裡のうちにデキゴトの強度や重要性つまり荷重を読者に伝達する。2002年9月17日小泉首相の訪朝に際して金正日総書記は15人の日本人を北朝鮮の国家機関が拉致したことを認めて謝罪した。この「日本人拉致」問題を日本を代表する4大紙がどのように報じたか、われわれは、その記事見出しに注目して荷重報道の実態を分析してきた。今回対象とするのは、小泉首相が2回目の訪朝を行った2004年5月22日をはさむ14日から25日までの12日間である。前回と同じく、見出しにおける「拉致」の文字の大きさ（面積）と、出現頻度を日にちごとに測定し、時系列の変化を見るためのセミオグラフを作成した。同時期、「核」兵器の開発問題と、小泉首相の「年金未加入」問題が争点となった。見出しや写真の扱い方を比較分析することで、「拉致」問題とこれらのイッシュウの間に、新聞によってかなり異なった荷重傾向が存在したことが明らかになった。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | No information is transmitted without choice and emphasis. In newspapers, the scale of a headline itself implicitly expresses the "news-weight" (=value) of an event. The graphic expression of news-weights was used to analyze headlines reporting Koizumi's revisit to DPRK on 22nd, May 2004. All the headlines (5.14-5.25, 2004) in the major Japanese newspapers (Asahi, Sankei, Mainichi, Yomiuri) reporting the abduction of 15 Japanese citizens by DPRK were analyzed. The frequency and the scale of the word Abduction (Rachi) were mapped on Semio-graphs, as presented in a previous article. At the same time, the issues of nuclear weapons and "the problem of pension un-admission of Prime Minister Koizumi" were analyzed. Some differences among the newspapers were shown in terms of putting weights either on the abduction or on these other issues through analysis of the headlines and the photos. | |||||
