| 内容記述 | 本研究では，多文化教育を推進している米国におけるベトナム系住民に焦点をあて，ベトナム語の母語支援体制についてネットワーク形成の観点から考察する．具体的には，ベトナム系住民が集住しているウエストミンスター市と広域にわたり在住するシアトル市に着目する．そして，ベトナム系住民の子弟のための母語教育という取り組みを生み出し，サポートするベトナム語母語教育支援ネットワークが存在すると設定し，そのネットワークの形成を個人（ミクロ），組織（メゾ），構造・制度（マクロ）の3 つのレベル間の関係として捉える．そのうえで，2 都市における母語教育支援ネットワークの背景にあるマクロレベルを概観し，主に母語教育支援活動にたずさわる人々へのインタビュー，高校におけるベトナム語教育の取り組み，ベトナム語母語支援を目的とするNGO等の調査から得られたデータをもとに個人と個人，組織と組織，あるいは個人と組織の相互関係をネットワーク形成に着目し考察する．The objective of this study is to examine the network of support system that fosters the mother tongue by focusing on Vietnamese residents in the United States where multicultural education is pursued. Concrete examples are drawn from communities in Westminster where Vietnamese are concentrated and communities in Seattle where they are scattered. The network supporting the mother tongue is analyzed at three levels–micro, mezzo and macro–in each community using the data collected from interviews of key persons, observations and visits to high schools, language schools, and NGOs. Finally suggestions concerning how to motivate students to learn their mother tongue are offered in relation to ICT (Information Communication Technology) use. | |||||
