| 内容記述 | This paper analyses how popular culture is exhibited in museums in Japan. The paper consists of two parts. First, it focuses on sports museums, manga comics museums, and popular music museums in order to describe how these genres are typically displayed. While all three have issues, some similar and some unique to each genre, popular music is the most difficult to adapt to an exhibit. As yet in Japan, there are no popular music museums. However, some exhibitions on popular music are occasionally held. The second part of this paper includes an interview of the producer of the special exhibition “70ʼs Vibration” and will seek to understand what underlying issues are present in the exhibition of popular music. | |||||

| 内容記述 | 本稿では、ポピュラー文化を扱うミュージアムが、ポピュラー文化をどのように展示しているのか、その展示手法に着目する。スポーツ、マンガ、ポピュラー音楽それぞれの分野に関する展示の特徴と傾向を併置・比較してみると、ポピュラー文化としての共通課題と、そのジャンル特有の課題の双方が浮き彫りになった。また、ポピュラー音楽を展示することの課題と困難は、前者ふたつに比して格段に大きいことがわかった。そこで、本稿の後半では、日本のポピュラー音楽シーンに焦点を当てた「70’s バイブレーション！」展の総合プロデューサーへのインタビューを元に、ポピュラー音楽の展示について特化して考える。 | |||||
