| 内容記述 | 2004年5月10日の記者会見における皇太子の「人格否定」発言を日本の4大新聞がどのように報道したか、荷重グラフを作成して比較分析した。はじめに、同じく王室を戴くタイ国における王室報道を概観した。記事の割付けと面積をグラフィカルに表現するパターングラフ(NWP)を開発するとともに、「敬意度」を測定するために記事の開始段数を指標化(SRW)した。タイにおいてはすべての王室報道が第1段から掲載されるのに対し、日本の新聞にはかなりのバラツキが見られた。産経、読売が「敬意度」の得点が高く、朝日、毎日の得点が低いことがグラフ表示から明らかになった。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | In newspapers, the positive or negative weight of value ("semio-weight") of an event is expressed by the positioning of the article, the scale of headlines and the selection of key words. This paper analyzes the differences of expressions reporting the unexpected statement of Prince Naruhito about the health of princess Masako. Two scales measuring the reverence for the royal family were developed in consideration of the positioning of articles. One is the NWP (News Weight Pattern), the other is the SRW (Startline Reverence Weight). Semio-graphic analysis was applied to analyze the differences between four major Japanese newspapers, as well as newspapers of the Kingdom of Thailand. Considerable differences of the reverence weight for the Royal family were observed in terms of NWP and SRW. | |||||
