| 内容記述 | Hayashi Taisuke(l854-1922)was one of the Sinologists who flourished in the dawn of Oriental studies in Japan. He was essentially a philologist of Chinese Classics，but he devoted himself to the study of ancient oracle bone inscriptions in his later years. Shortly after he started the study of inscriptions，Wang Guowei (1877-1927)，one of the greatest scholars of early Chinese history in Twentieth century，came to Japan.Wang acquainted himself with many Sinologists in Kyoto University，but he had no acquaintance in Tokyo except Hayashi. From the summer of 1915 to January of 1916，Hayashi and Wang exchanged their views about some technical terms in ancient Chinese texts，using Chinese classics and ancient inscriptions. Their association was very short，but both of them had a common hardship as pioneer in the research of excavated materials of early China，which made their academic exchange monumental |
