| 内容記述 | 本稿の目的は，アーヴィング・ゴフマンの『スティグマ』を参照しながら，カテゴリー化という観点に軸足を置いて，日常のやりとり(相互行為)の中での参与者の自己(self)の立ち現われ方をめぐるいくつかの課題を検討することである．そのためにまず，そうした作業の方法論上の前提について述べたあと，ゴフマンの自己呈示論とサックスの成員カテゴリー化論を踏み台にしながら，そこに欠けていた，個別固有なものとみなされているパーソナルなアイデンティティをめぐる考察を『スティグマ』から抽出し，それがもたらすいくつかの課題を検討した．その帰結として，役割―パースン複合体という新たな概念を提示し，それを補助線に，ジェンダー論の分野での論争点である性別のオムニレリヴァンスとパラレルな形でゴフマンが主張する，スティグマのオムニレリヴァンスについて若干の試論を提示した． | |||||

| 内容記述 | This paper revisits Erving Goffman's Stigma to appreciate his discussions on the concept of personal identity. Such discussions are neither present in his theory of the self in The Presentation of Self in Everyday Life nor in Harvey Sacks' ethnomethodological formulation of the membership categorization device. This study expands on Goffman's insights on the everyday self, describing the idea of the roleperson complex and reexamining the adequacy of Goffman's omnirelevance of stigma. | |||||
