| 内容記述 | 本稿は筆者のサバティカル研修でのシンガポール滞在を通じて得られた随想である。地理学的には重要視されながらも，専門的な研究論文では取り上げにくい「現場でえられた感覚」のいくつかを紹介した。また，これからサバティカル研修を考えている若手には筆者の「失敗談」を，海外エクスカーションの訪問先としてシンガポールを考えている読者には候補地の紹介を副次的な目的とした。筆者の理解に基づいた見聞から「現場でえられた感覚」は偏ったものとなり，様々な異論を生み出すだろう。しかし，異論がでることはむしろ充実した地理情報の共有につながる。「現場でえられた感覚」のなかには研究のアイデア的なものが含まれていた。シンガポールは観光商品としてパッケージングされた印象の強い国であるが，地理学的な研究対象としてまだまだ「調理しがいのある素材」であろう。 | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | This article is an essay that I wrote during my stay in Singapore while on sabbatical. Some of the “feelings in the field” that are shared as geographically interesting matters are interesting but difficult to cover in academic journals. Additionally, the secondary purpose was to introduce young people, who are considering sabbatical, to the author’s “failed experiences” while introducing candidate sites to readers, who are considering Singapore as a destination for overseas excursions. Some of the “feelings in the field” included research ideas. Singapore’s impression is one of being packaged and promoted as a tourist destination; however, as a geographic research target, it still is a material worth researching. | |||||||||
