| 内容記述 | 1980年代以降、「いじめ問題」は日本の教育を巡るもっとも大きな社会問題のひとつであり続けてきた。そして、およそ40年にわたって報道され、論じられる際に参照されてきた社会学的なモデルのうちもっともよく参照されてきたのが森田洋司の提唱した「いじめの四層構造論」であった。いまだに問題であり続けている「いじめ問題」を検証するにあたって、この論考では手始めとしてこのモデルを取り上げて検証した。検証の結果、あきらかになったのは(1)四層構造モデルの妥当性は調査データによっては裏づけられないこと、(2)著書でこのモデルを一般に公表する際に、自身の主張に合わせるために報告書で示されたモデルを恣意的に改変していること、(3)著書でいじめの深刻さを訴えるために示された事例はいずれも四層構造モデルによっては説明できないことなどである。後半の論考では調査データを子細にたどりなおすことで、四層構造モデルに代わるモデルを提案した。その代替モデルは比較的少人数の遊びグループ内の暴力が問題であることを示唆している。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | Bullying in school has been one of the most serious social problems in the field of education in Japan since 1980’s, and when this problem is reported or argued on mass-media, what people most frequently referred to has been “four concentric circle model of bullying” proposed by Yoji Morita. In order to re-examine “bullying problem” which has been a social problem for almost 40years, this paper verified this model at the first step of this attempt. The verification made clear the following points. (1) The validity of this model is not supported by the data of the survey conducted in 1985 by Morita’s group. (2) When this model is made public on the book published in 1986, this model was arbitrarily modified to match it to his own assertion. (3) Any of instances in the book cannot be explained by this model, and so on. And then, I suggested an alternative model to “four concentric circle model of bullying”, which indicates that the essential factor we should give attention to is violence within relatively small play groups in school. | |||||
