| 内容記述 | Toin Sanjiwa is a manuscript copy of Chinese owned by Kansai University Library (Nagasawa collection). Although there is no information about the author or the date, the title affords a clue to its value. Given that a document exclusively on "sanjiwa" (three‑character words) is rare, Toin Sanjiwa is valuable. It was one of the Towa collections studied in Kyushu in the Edo era. This paper first analyzes the usage and vocabularies of the examples of sanjiwa collected in the Toin Sanjiwa. Through the examination of their characteristics, it will be shown that they were learned in Nagasaki during the Edo era. Second, the influence or succession between Toin Sanjiwa and Nanzan Zokugo Ko, two will be pointed out through a comparison with Towa Sanyo and Nanzan Zokugo Ko, two of the representative Towa documents. On the basis of my discussion, I would like to argue the possibility that Toin Sanjiwa shows an important part of the process of Towa learning in Kagoshima. | |||||
