| 内容記述 | Following the outbreak of the 1882 Jingo Incident, the Qing government immediately dispatched an army to prevent any chance of a rebellion. Its purpose was also to strengthen the traditional suzerain-dependency relations with Korea. On the other hard, Japanese government was requested by the reform-minded Korean leaders to provide assistance for their independent projects. After entering into 'Jemulpo Treaty' with Korea. After insisting by Inoue Kaoru, Yamagata Aritomo and Iwakura Tomomi, a policy of progressive intervention into the Korea affairs was established. This paper examines the main points of this policy in the relation to the situation in East Asia. | |||||
