| 内容記述 | This essay examines six documentary programs produced by NHK on the theme of Satoyama: the agricultural landscape of Japan which includes rice paddies, rivers and lakes, and maintained forests. It takes a ecocritical approach to these programs, analyzing their claims and the rhetoric used to make them. Special attention is paid to the BBC's English-language adaptations of two of the films, and the manner in which they differ from the Japanese-language originals. | |||||
