| 内容記述 | In this paper, I will present Ashihei Hino's report cards from Wakamatsu elementary school and Kokura junior high school and thus, consider his self-formation as a writer from the viewpoint of his education. Hino Ashihei Memorial Exhibit has his report cards for the six years that he spent at Wakamatsu (1913－1919) and the four years at Kokura (1919－1923). These report cards and The Diary of Hino Ashihei (1923, reprinted by Chikako Masuda) show that he was a regular young man who was worried about his love life and who loved art and literature. He decided to be a writer when he was at Kokura junior high school. He served as a soldier in the Sino-Japanese War and wrote for the Japanese army during the Pacific War. Sometime after the war, he was banned from holding public office temporarily. Although the war changed the course of his life, we understand that he used to be just a young man who loved art and literature. | |||||
