| 内容記述 | Based on the philosophy of the Middle Way, Inoue Enryō (1858‒1919) argued the relations between things and minds of the world. Focusing on the first chapter of his Tetsugaku Issekiwa, this paper attempts to interpret his concept of the Middle Way. It is self-evident that there are different perceptions about fundamental principles of the world such as idealistic monism, dualism, and pluralism. According to Inoue, however, none of them are the truth. All these perceptions are embraced in the philosophy of the Middle Way. In this realisation of the Middle Way which is represented by the "A and non-A" logic, those perceptions are considered the same. Consequently, Inoue advocated a fundamental principle enryō 円了 which is a synonym for shin'nyo 真如 in Buddhism. |
