| 内容記述 | 研究の計画，研究結果の解釈，および理論の構成にとって前理論的な分類学的研究が重要である。一連の研究がその視点から日本において行われてきたが，研究対象の向社会的行動が社会的規範などを通じて文化に規定されると考えられるため，比較文化的な観点から，その分類学的研究が米国において行われた。この論文では，米国における向社会的行動についての規範的態度の構造が報告される。「キャップス」(CAPS)と呼ばれるデータ収集施設を利用して向社会的行動に関する規範的意見が収集され，さらに，それより選定された代表的な30個の意見項目を用いて態度測定が行われた。この態度評定のデータに因子分析と主成分分析とが適用され，規範的態度の構造が明らかにされた。分析の方法と水準を通じて安定した4種類の規範的態度と，分析法によって異なる比較的不安定な2種類の態度が発見された。なお，日米間の規範的態度の構造の対応性は，必ずしも明確ではなかった。この文化差の原因を考察するとともに，態度の個人差を生み出す要因の究明と，態度と行動の対応関係に関する研究の必要性が指摘された。さらに，態度をも含む行動動機の視点からの分類学的研究も提案された。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | Pre-theoretical taxonomical research is essential to the planning of research design, understanding of results and formulation of theory. In accord with these notions, a series of taxonomical research projects has been carried out in Japan. As prosocial behavior is thought to be prescribed by social norms, the taxonomical study was also done in the United States of America using a cross-cultural approach. In this article, normative attitude structures of prosocial behavior in USA are reported. Utilizing "CAPS" (Computer Administered. Panel Survey) in the UNC(University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill), normative opinions on prosocial behavior were collected from "CAPS" samples. The thirty typical opinions selected through content analysis were presented to the sample in order to measure their attitudes toward prosocial behavior. For the elucidation of normative attitude structures, factor analysis and principal component analysis were applied to the data-matrix. Four stable attitudes and two unstable attitudes through this kind and level of analysis were extracted. There are various differences in attitude structurs between Japan and USA. In addition to a discussion of cultural differences, future taxonomical research is proposed, to make clear the conditions undelying iridividual difference, consistency between normative attitudes and overt behavior, and motives for helping/not-helping. | |||||
