| 内容記述 | 今や世界都市となった東京では，その巨大さから様々な問題が生じているが，中でも深刻なのがごみ処理の問題である。このままの状態が続けば，近い将来には東京にごみの捨て場所は無くなることが確実と言われる。こうした深刻なごみ問題は，昨日今日生じた問題ではない。江戸時代以降日本の政治の中心となった東京は，明治になってからは経済の中心にもなり，すべての面で他の都市を圧倒する巨大都市となってきた。ごみ問題はそうした東京の歴史を考慮せずに理解することはできない。本年表は，東京におけるごみ問題についての流れを理解してもらうために作成したものである。読める年表になるように，短時日の間に生じた関連事項をまとめて位置づけることにしたので，多少時間的順序が入れ替わっているところもあるので，注意してほしい。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | There are many problems in Tokyo as a global city, especially, the waste problem. It is certain that there will be no place to discard waste in Tokyo in the near future unless appropriate measures are taken. The waste problem is not a recent one. Tokyo became the political center of Japan in the Edo period, and the economic center in the Meiji period, and has consequently become an incomparable megalopolis in Japan. We cannot understand the waste problem in Tokyo without recognizing such history. I make this chronological table to understand the waste problem in Tokyo better. It is not necessarily in the right time order, because related matters within a short term are arranged together for ease of understanding. | |||||
