| 内容記述 | 1950年代にパーソンズらの「構造一機能主義」を核に，体系的な学問への道を歩んでいた社会学は，1960年代以降それに対する様々な批判理論が登場する中で， メイン・ストリームを失った学問になってしまった。現在，漠然とした「社会学人気」は若い人たちにあるようだが，そこで期待されている社会学は本来の社会学のあるべき姿からかなりかけ離れているような気がしてならない。こうした形で社会学が広まっていくのは，実は社会学にとって大いなる危機だという認識が私にはある。21世紀を直前に控えた今，社会学とはどのような学問で， どのようなことをなしうるのかをきちんと考える必要がある。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | Sociology had been orientated toward systematic study based on Parsons' "structural-functionalism" untill the 1950's. However, many critical theories against Parsons have appeared since 1960's. Sociology has consequently lost the main stream. Although at the present time many young students are interested in sociology, the sociology that most of them expect is very different from what sociology should be. Popularizing sociology as they expect become big crisis for the future of sociology. Now we sociologists must consider deeply what is sociology and what sociology can do. | |||||
