| 内容記述 | From "Mazu belief" to "Mazu culture", and then to the "Mazu belief and customs", Mazu belief in Putian, as the cradle of Mazu belief, has demonstrated unprecedented characteristics in the new era. Based on the survey and synthetic research of Putian's Mazu belief and since 2010 customs, focusing on the latest census of 2018, we can see a fundamental change in the organization, management, image of statue, sacrifice process and international exchange of the Mazu belief and customs. By this time, the Mazu belief and customs in Putian began to show three major turns: from religious belief to cultural brand―the influence of the marketization, from spiritual support to cultural consciousness―an opportunity for local culture, from local consciousness to identity―the construction of "Mazu people". And from the three turns we see the Mazu belief and customs gradually move toward institutionalization, standardization and systematization. | |||||
