| 内容記述 | After the publication of Otsuki Fumihiko's Shina Bunten in 1877, Chinese grammar research in Japan turned to the study of colloquial grammar, which advanced the study to a new stage. Additionally, findings that theoretically organized and systematically summarized the research were published. This study focuses on the contents of modal particles in Chinese grammar books published from the Meiji era until the Taisho era. First, the author will show what terms were used by Japanese researchers when describing modal particles. Second, the author will investigate the origin of these terms by combining Chinese ancient books, Sinology materials from the Edo era, and Japanese grammar books from the early Meiji era. The Japanese-created terms are based on the nature of modal particles. For terms borrowed from other literature, the study examines the type of literature where these terms were first seen, the meanings associated with the terms initially, and reasons behind these associations with regard to the study of Chinese colloquial grammar, with an aim to explore the effects of multiple factors involved in the research on modal particles. | |||||
