| 内容記述 | In the early Meiji, Japan began to break away from the Confucian framework, and totally committed to accept western culture. The process of learning from the West is also the process for Japan to step to modernization. Yukichi Fukuzawa (1835-1901) is the most emphasized representative who have pushed Japan forward to the modern times. This paper's subject is Ryuukei Yano (1850-1931) who stayed in close contact with Yukichi Fukuzawa since he enrolled Keio Gijuku that opened by Fukuzawa. In terms of eastern and western concept, we can't deny that Ryuukei Yano was influenced by Fukuzawa deeply. For Yano and Fukuzawa, they were enlightenment thinkers in same time of early Meiji, but on the other hand, there was obvious distinction between Yano and Fukuzawa's concepts of China. In order to understand Yano comprehensively and specifically, it is necessary to figure out what the difference was in their concepts of China concretely. This paper discusses Ryuukei Yano's concepts of Chinese culture, Sinology, and war by compare with Yukichi Fukuzawa. | |||||
