| 内容記述 | When different cultures and languages come into contact with each other, “pidgin” appears as one of the most typical phenomena. In China, people learned the strange English of this kind first in Guangdong in the past and what is alled “Yangjingbang English” appeared in Shanghai. Different from orthodox English learning, though it is something temporary that is available within a certain area and class, pidgin and transliteration or phonetic representation has not been distinguished so sharply. In this report, the private opinion of the author on “What is pidgin?” is shown with the major materials about pidgin in modern China. | |||||
