| 内容記述 | 本研究は,他者の現在置かれている状況に対する評価を表情からいかに解釈しているかを検討した. 908名の被験者は,24枚の写真を呈示された. 刺激写真は,Scherer (1984,1992) のSECモデルに基づいて目元(3パタン)と口元(8パタン)を変化させたものである. 被験者は,表出者の状況に対する評価を評定することを求められた. 表出者の状況に対する評価を推論する際における,表情の構成要素の効果を検討するために数量化I類を用いた. その結果,‘眉間にしわをよせる' が‘快適性' の推測および‘目標一致性' の推測に影響することが見いだされた.これらの結果から,他者の表情解釈において,特定の顔の構成要素と特定の評価が対応していることが示唆された. | |||||

| 内容記述 | The present study examines how we interpret others' feelings through facial expressions. 908 participants were presented with 24 photographs of faces with different facial expressions. The photographs were changed in the eyes (3 patterns) and the mouth (8 patterns) based on Scherer's (1984, 1992) "Stimulus Evaluation Check" (SEC) model. The participants were asked to judge the thoughts/feelings of the person in the photographs. Hayashi's "qualification theory" (type I) was used to examine the effect of facial changes on the appraisals. It was found that "pleasantness" and "goal conduciveness" depended on the position of eyebrows. These results suggest that specific facial components correspond to specific appraisals in the interpretation of facial expression. | |||||
