| 内容記述 | モノ探し行動の「効率」の問題を「コスト・パフォーマンス」の枠組みで考察した。コストは多元的で、身体的・心理的・時間的・経済的・社会的な諸側面での負担であり、その行動の問題認識・探索意思決定・実行(開始・探索)・終了の各段階で生じるが、それらの負担の全体(トータル・コスト)は負担感として心理量で求められる。トータル・コストの把握のために探し手が採用するヒューリスティクスには多元的累積方式と総括的印象方式があるが、一般に多く採用されるのは後者である。パフォーマンスは第一義的には「失くしたモノを発見する」という目標達成であるが、これに経済的損失回避や心理的満足感が付随する。生活技術的観点から「短時間で探し出すこと」が「効率的な探し方」とされることが多いが、時間的コストの低減が他の諸コストの増大に代替されるのが普通であるので、「効率的か、否か」はトータル・コストの問題に帰することになる。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | The efficiency in the search for lost objects was discussed in the framework of cost-performance. The cost of search behavior is based on multiple strains as follows: physical, psychological, temporal, economic, and social. To determine the total amount of these strains, it is necessary to apply a common measure to all of them. The psychological measure is applicable to estimate the total cost, and it is estimated by the searchers themselves after finishing the search behavior. The performance of the search behavior is primarily the achievement of the search purpose, that is, the finding of lost objects. As a secondary performance, the avoidance of economic loss and the acquisition of psychological satisfaction are experienced. In daily living, "finding out in a short time" is generally accepted as "the effective way to search" for lost objects. However, the reduction of temporal cost is mostly attained by the substitutional increase of the other cost; thus the efficiency of search behavior must be estimated by the total cost. | |||||
