 note = {東京五輪開催後の1966年は、メディアスポーツビジネスの拡大やスポーツ観戦文化の普及などが重なり合い、アマチュア至上主義への疑いが生まれた年である。そうした転換期に初の「プロ」サッカーチームとしてスターリング・アルビオンが来日した。 本稿においては、スターリング・アルビオンの来日の前提となる日本のサッカー文化発展の経過を簡単に振り返り、1966年の「英国プロ・チーム初の来日」報道と、それに関わる議論を、新聞報道を中心に明らかにする。それに加えて、スターリング・アルビオン側からの「極東遠征」意味付け資料を提示したい。, This essay is to describe on the first contact to the world's professional football of Japan's football regarding "professional -amateur problem" which was very controversial among sport society in Japan. In 1966, the Stirling Albion, the Scottish "semi-"professional football club, as the first British professional club to visit Japan, traveled to Japan to play two matches against Japan's team, while Japanese media and public welcomed them enthusiastically. It was just one month before their arrival that the matches were allowed to play because Japan Amateur Sports Association had strictly maintained to apply the rule of amateurism to its sports societies. The essay follows how the Japan's media made reportages on their visit and what implication the Albion gave to their own visit.},
