| 内容記述 | This paper discusses the identification methods and connoisseurship concepts in Luo Zhenyu’s inscriptive writings while he lived in Kyoto, using the Orchid Pavilion as an example. By extension, it examines the reception of Wang Xizhi’s calligraphy in Japan during the Taisho period. The search for the true face of Wang Xizhi’s calligraphy was Luo Zhenyu’s goal, and the inscriptive writings he wrote in four editions of the Orchid Pavilion provide us with an insight into his goal and his search process. Luo Zhenyu combines his own experiences of appreciation of the arts with literature on the subject to discuss the circulation of the Orchid Pavilion, the merits of the editions and other issues. At the same time, he criticizes and supplements the views of his predecessors, which shows his profound knowledge of calligraphy and his ability to identify calligraphic works. In addition, Japanese scholars also participated in the inscriptions and appreciation of Chinese rubbings, which promoted the acceptance of Wang Xizhi’s calligraphy in the Japanese cultural elite circles at that time, represented by Naito Konan. Naito Konan’s inscriptive writings and Luo Zhenyu’s inscriptive writings reflect appreciation of Wang Xizhi’s calligraphy by Japanese literati during the Taisho period. | |||||
