| 内容記述 | This paper aims to examine the trend of the collection of Chinese calligraphy and painting in modern Japan from “Kowatari” to “Shinwatari,” relying on biographies, memoirs, exhibition catalogs of Japanese. First, it introduces the life of Ueno Riichi (上野理一, 1848-1919) and his collection of the paintings and calligraphy. Second, it explores characteristics of the Ueno Collection through the composition of the collection. Finally, it analyzes the formation and influence of Ueno’s “Chinese taste.” | |||||
