| 内容記述 | The Pichangwang is one of the Gods of the land in the genealogy of Chinese folk deities. About whom exactly Pichangwang refers to, there were already many different stories in Song Dynasty. Furthermore, after the evolution through Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, the origin of people’s faith in Pichangwang became more ambiguous, and there were all kinds of unfounded rumors in different regions. The original form is not conclusive at present, but based on my research, I believe the most reasonable inference is that Pichangwang originated from a Bijing. The faith of Pichangwang flourished in Bianjing during Northern Song Dynasty. Later, it spread across different areas, forming three belief circles with respectively Kaifeng, Hangzhou and Anguo as the center. The reason for the southward spread of Pichangwang’s faith to the area of Jiangsu and Zhejiang, which was Hangzhou centered, was the southward movement of the ruling center of Song Dynasty after the Jingkang Incident. However, the reason for the northward spread to northern China is not yet studied by any scholar. Therefore, through this study, I could infer that the leather business is a key factor that shouldn’t be ignored. | |||||
