 note = {Hidai Tenrai (比田井天来 ; 1872-1939) was the most representative disciple of the calligrapher Kusakabe Meikaku (日下部鳴鶴 ; 1838-1932). He not only actively participated in the calligraphy group Daidō shokai (大同書会) founded by Kusakabe Meikaku, but also independently founded the calligraphy group Shogakuin (書学院). This paper focuses on the contributions of Hidai Tenrai to calligraphy by examining his experience in the field of calligraphy. It also discusses relevant calligraphy groups to understand conceptual changes in the calligraphic groups at different times, and Hidai Tenraiʼs legacy and development of Kusakabe Meikaku's calligraphic concept.},
