The discretionary work system is a legal system that guarantees workers the autonomy exercised in the execution of their work and the autonomy to determine their own boundaries, allowing them to decide when to start and finish work. Therefore, the discretionary work system is expected to contribute to new ways of working in a society that demands work-life balance and reform of working practices.
