Images of the murals at the time of excavation and those at the time of construction reproduced by researchers were used as textures on the CG model, making it possible to switch between the two periods. In this content, users can view the murals while moving around the stone chamber using a head-mounted display (HMD). Here, we developed the systems and tested the effectiveness of each. Type 1 is a system in which a communicator operates the controller to explain the murals. Type 2 is an exhibition system in which the commentary is played in the HMD and the display proceeds automatically for viewing in an unmanned exhibition space, and Type 3 is a website VR system, which can be viewed with a smartphone or a brief HMD device. Each of these systems was exhibited at events inside and outside the university, including the open campus, and their effectiveness was verified through questionnaire surveys and Web analysis.
