The monasteries take the mountains as the stage of religious activities and require practitioners to practice in the mountains. Therefore, the belief in mountains is the basis of the monasteries. The monasteries are developed from Shinto, Buddhism and Taoism, and pursue the unity of man, mountain and God. Kinpusen temple's Amulet five prison mirror is the only temple in Japan that worships the true figure of five mountains in China.
