| 内容記述 | Satō Haruo was a great admirer of Chinese literature, who translated 23 poems of Liaozhai Zhiyi (聊斎志異). The translations can be divided into three periods according to the time of presentation, the medium of presentation and the layout. This paper analyzes how Satō translated Chinese poetry that appears in the original Chinese text, comparing the translation by Shibata Temma. Satō's second-period translation that for boys, girls and children do not include Chinese poetry, and it can be seen that he devised a selection of subjects depending on the readership. And when translating the Chinese poetry in the first period, Satō demonstrated his creativity by freely translating the content of the original text, greatly increasing the content, even changing the subject. In contrast, when translating the Chinese poetry of the third period, Satō basically translated according to the original text. Thus, this paper reveals changes in Satō's translations. | |||||
