 note = {The present paper deals with professional interpreters who work amid COVID-19. In order to stop the spread of corona virus, people all around the world were forced to lead a life which was completely different from the one we had led before COVID-19. Economic activities have witnessed a sea change across the world. Under such a situation, there is a question whether and how interpreting service has been provided. The present paper reports the new style of interpreting after COVID-19, mainly remote-interpreting and the prospects of the profession are also discussed based on the data collected from professional interpreters and the interpreters' agency by means of a structured-interview. Also, from a pedagogical point of view, without knowing what is going on in the current situation, teachers might mislead their students by providing outdated information on the interpreting and their experiences. And they might fail to offer the information regarding necessary skills that might be required by the remote interpreting and knowledge after the pandemic. The present study also proposes the issue that goes beyond the mere thoughts on the profession and lead to think about the basic research topic of what interpreting is and eventually the need of face-to-face communication in our daily life.},
