| 内容記述 | The Japan Folk Craft Museum was a pavilion at EXPO'70 which was held in Osaka. The pavilion displayed mingei(folk craft), a term coined by Soetsu Yanagi(1889-1961) and his fellow enthusiasts. The theme of the pavilion was "The Beauty of the Living." The displays were divided into three main sections. The first focused on old folk craft. The second was a selection of contemporary works that had inherited the old traditional techniques. The third was a display of new works that sought to give it new expression in modern work. In this paper, I examine the space creative direction of the exhibition,which included many factors, such as architecture, interior, displays, and the flow of visitors. I show what kind of influence these had on visitors. The exhibition had a story of mine's ideal evolution of mingei. The pavilion (with its theme of "The Beauty of the Living") was an effective part of EXPO'70, whose theme was "Progress and Harmony for Mankind." | |||||
