| 内容記述 | Based on the different objects and methods of translation, Zhou Zuoren's translation activities are generally believed to have had obvious stages. However, it can be seen from Zhou Zuoren's early works related to translation that Zhou Zuoren thought about "literal translation" and "free translation" and could not explain the development of his ideas on translation and methodology simply as "from literal translation to free translation." Comparing the original texts and his translations of Gendai Nihon Shōsetsushū (Collection of Modern Japanese Novels, 1923) and Ishikawa Takuboku's poetry anthology, Ichiaku no suna (A Handful of Sand, 1910), it is found that Zhou Zuoren's translation of modern Japanese novels is characterized by "literal translation," the direct use of Japanese vocabulary and the expansion of sentence modifiers. To a certain extent, poetry has the characteristic of "free translation," which is mainly realized as changes in parts of speech, the increase or decrease of content, the change of sentence order and word order, and the change of sentence components. Therefore, it can be concluded that the "free translation" feature of Zhou Zuoren's later translations had already begun to take shape in his early Japanese literary translations. | |||||
