| 内容記述 | Omu Shinshi (鴎夢新誌), a Chinese poetry and prose magazine launched in December 1885, evolved from primarily featuring shi (漢詩) to increasingly devoting more space to ci poetry (填詞). The magazine functioned not merely as a venue for publication but as a center of ci scholarship, publishing theoretical lectures and critical annotations (評注) by both Japanese and Qing Chinese literati, including diplomatic officials. Additionally, it fostered cultural exchange by introducing various Chinese ci styles—most notably the Haofang (豪放派) style of Xin Qiji—to Japanese poets. This study thus demonstrates the magazine's role as a network hub, linking Tokyo's Omu Ginsha with regional figures, including those associated with the Haku-en Academy in Kansai, thereby establishing Omu Shinshi's position as a pivotal early stage in the development of modern Japanese ci circles. | |||||||||
