| 内容記述 | This paper systematically elaborates on the cleaning and tuning process of the shō, a traditional Japanese gagaku instrument. As a mouth organ composed of seventeen bamboo pipes, the shō requires comprehensive maintenance after prolonged use due to issues such as the deterioration of malachite powder. Under the guidance of a teacher from the Tennōji Gakusho Garyōkai, the author acquired this skill through practical training. Integrating historical documentation with hands-on experience, the study meticulously documents the entire procedure from disassembly and cleaning to retuning. The cleaning phase involves the complete removal of old materials and disinfection, while the tuning phase entails precise pitch adjustment through the attachment of lead weights and the application of malachite paste, ultimately calibrated to A=430Hz. The paper emphasizes that tuning the shō is not merely technical maintenance but a vital pathway to deepening one's understanding of the instrument. This art, which demands exceptional precision, represents an essential skill for every shō performer, reflecting the profound integration of technical mastery and cognitive awareness in the transmission of Japanese traditional music. | |||||
