| 内容記述 | This study examines Xin Qiji (1140-1207), with particular focus on his reception and adaptation of Tao Yuanming's themes and imagery. Although Xin is often regarded as a quintessential figure of the bold and patriotic "haofang" style, his body of work also reveals a deep lyrical sensitivity and engagement with reclusion and rural life. By tracing how Xin repeatedly invoked Tao Yuanming — through direct allusion, imitation, and reinterpretation — the study argues that Xin constructed a poetic persona that oscillated between political aspiration and a retreat into idealized rural solitude. The paper highlights how Xin's later poems, especially those composed during his retirement in Daihu and Piaoquan, used Tao Yuanming as a lens for both self-reflection and social critique. Rather than a passive escape, Xin's engagement with Tao represents a complex, poetic negotiation of loyalty, failure, and the search for integrity in times of national decline. This study reevaluates Xin Qiji as not only a patriotic general-poet but also as a literary inheritor of the hermit-scholar tradition in Chinese lyricism. | |||||||||
