| 内容記述 | The Erlang Shen holds a unique position in Chinese folk religion, with its imagery exhibiting significant regional, ethnic, and religious variations. This study focuses on the Amdo Tibetan region (Qinghai-Tibetan borderland), examining how the Erlang Shen iconography in this area has been "recreated" from its Daoist prototype in Han China, incorporating layered elements of Zoroastrianism, Bon religion, and Daoism. Previous studies have overemphasized the Central Plains' Erlang Shen while neglecting the transformation process of divine images in multi-ethnic frontier zones. Through iconographic analysis, fieldwork, and textual criticism, this research deciphers the interplay between material modifications of sacred images and ritual practices as a concrete case of religious syncretism. | |||||||||
