| 内容記述 | 本稿は，自然実験によってテロが移民に対する態度に与える因果効果を分析した先行研究を整理・検討する．はじめに，先行研究にそくして，予期せぬ出来事（テロ）が調査期間中に発生した場合，その前後で調査された回答者を統制群と処置群に割り当てることで，テロの効果を推定する分析モデルについて説明し，因果識別の仮定やその検討方法を整理する．次に，ヨーロッパの国際比較分析，無差別テロや標的が明確なテロの分析，テロが移民への肯定的態度を高める事例など，多様に展開する先行研究をレビューし，その知見をまとめる．さいごに，先行研究における課題として，移民の種類の未区別，国固有のコンテクストの軽視，メディア分析の不足，ヨーロッパ偏重といった点を指摘し，今後の研究の展望について議論する． | |||||

| 内容記述 | This study reviews existing literature that estimates the causal effects of terrorism on attitudes toward immigrants using natural experiments. First, we outline the analytical frameworks employed in prior research, which assess these effects by assigning survey respondents to control and treatment groups based on whether they were interviewed before or after an unexpected event (i.e., a terrorist attack). We also examine the assumptions required for causal inference and methods used to evaluate them. Next, we review several studies, including cross-national comparisons in Europe, analyses of both indiscriminate and targeted attacks, and cases wherein terrorism resulted in more favorable attitudes toward immigrants. Finally, we identify key limitations in the literature, such as the lack of differentiation among immigrant groups, limited consideration of country-specific contexts, underdeveloped media analysis, and a predominant focus on European cases, and suggest directions for future research. | |||||
