| 内容記述 | ローゼンバーグの自尊感情尺度（RSES）は、自尊感情を評価するために広く使用されており、その因子構造は探索的因子分析（EFA）および確認的因子分析（CFA）によって広く検討されてきた。本研究では、翻訳上および心理測定上のいくつかの問題を抱える山本・松井・山成（1982）による日本語版を用いて、過去に提案された9つの仮説的モデルの因子不変性を、男子大学生（N＝525）および女子大学生（N＝711）を対象に構造方程式モデリング（SEM）によって検証し、より適切な因子構造を探った。SEMの結果、因子パターン、因子間共分散、観測変数の独自性において不変性が認められたが、いくつかの切片には差異があり、特定のモデルにおいて女子は否定的表現因子でより高い得点の傾向を示した。全体サンプル（N＝1,236）に対するEFA では、新たに「とてもよい」「これでよい」「否定的自尊感情」の3因子モデルが抽出され、モデル修正なしで男女間の完全な不変性が確認された。性別によって有意な差が見られたのは「否定的自尊感情」因子の平均のみであり、女子の方が高い傾向を示した。これらの結果が、尺度の翻訳・等価性・改訂などの研究に示唆していることは、多集団における因子的不変性の検証と慎重なモデル選択の重要性である。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | The Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) is widely used to assess self-esteem, with its factor structure examined extensively through Exploratory and Confirmatory Factor Analyses (EFA, CFA) . Using the Japanese version by Yamamoto, Matsui, & Yamanari (1982), which has certain translation and psychometric issues, this study tested the factorial invariance of nine previously proposed hypothetical models across male (N＝525) and female (N＝711) university students via structural equation modeling (SEM) and explored a more suitable factor structure. SEM results showed invariance in factor patterns, covariances among factors, and uniqueness of observed variables, but some intercepts differed, with females scoring higher on the negatively worded factor in certain models. An EFA on the combined sample (N＝1,236) yielded a new three-factor model — Very Good, Good Enough, and Negative Self-Esteem — which demonstrated complete factorial invariance across genders without model modification. Only the mean of the Negative Self-Esteem factor differed significantly by gender, being higher among females. These findings emphasize the need for rigorous simultaneous multi-group factorial invariance testing and careful model selection in the scale adaptation study. | |||||
