As the population declines, the birthrate declines, and the aging of society accelerates, the number of commuters, especially on local lines, is decreasing year by year, and it has become extremely difficult to maintain the same number of trains and timetables as before. In this study, we conducted a questionnaire survey of local students who use the JR Bantan Line in order to make recommendations on measures necessary to increase the number of users, improve convenience, and revitalize the areas along the line in order to maintain and promote the sustainable use of local public transportation. |
