| 内容記述 | On August 8th, 2024, the Nankai Trough Earthquake Extra Information (Advisory), which is an uncertain disaster information announcing that the probability of a large earthquake along the Nankai trough is assessed to be relatively higher than normal, was issued for the first time since 2017. In this study, an internet survey was conducted to examine people’s response to the information. The results indicated that the Extra Information had little effects on people’s preparedness for the Nankai trough earthquake; 25％ of people took no actions although people’s awareness of the Extra Information raised significantly compared to the previous survey carried out one year ago. It was also suggested that overall people’s reactions for disaster mitigation to the next issuance of the information could diminish. These results imply that the implementation of the Extra Information does not contribute for promoting disaster preparedness. | |||||||||
