| 内容記述 | BAI Jyoteki (1916-2008) is recognized as a prominent Japanese seal engraver, known for his prolific output, especially in the post-war period, with works found throughout Japan and preserved in China due to active Sino-Japanese exchanges. Regrettably, not a single seal from his pre-war period survives due to the destruction of his residence in the Osaka air raids. The newly discovered "香稲印譜" and "碩鼠洞印存" were created while BAI Jyoteki was an apprentice under KAWANISHI Tekishu. These documents are believed to contain invaluable information about BAI Jyoteki's early career. In this paper, I will primarily utilize these seal books to examine BAI Jyoteki's pseudonym and his interactions during his apprenticeship with KAWANISHI Tekishu. | |||||||||
