| 内容記述 | Erlang Shen, a deity widely known in China, appears in classics such as “Journey to the West” and “The Investiture of the Gods.” He is beloved by the people and has become a popular figure in anime, dramas, and movies. Originally, Erlang Shen was a local deity of Sichuan, known as “Erlang of Guan Kou.” “Guan Kou” refers to “Guan County,” now known as Dujiangyan City in Sichuan Province. The worship of Erlang Shen, the second son of Li Bing, governor of Qin and Shu prefectures, originated before the Tang dynasty. It gained popularity throughout China during the Northern Song dynasty. Later, during the Ming dynasty, this worship spread to Qinghai Province with the immigration and garrisoning of Han people from the Central Plains. In this region, predominantly inhabited by Tibetan people, the worship integrated with Tibetan Buddhism, Bon religion, shamanism, and local folk beliefs, undergoing significant transformations. | |||||||||
