| 内容記述 | As a deity from the Central Plains, Bo Yi underwent adaptation and reshaping during his introduction to the remote southern region of Chaozhou. This study focuses on the belief in Bo Yi in Chaozhou, tracing its origins and examining its transformation through six divine roles: ancestral deity, heroic deity, mountain deity, insect king, community deity, and water deity. It seeks to explore the evolutionary process and causes behind the transformation of Bo Gong worship during its spread from the Central Plains to Lingnan. | |||||||||
