| 内容記述 | This article reveals the process by which the South Manchuria Railway Company, the organizer of the performances, invited Han Shichang to perform Kunqu Opera in Japan and its true intention of promoting Kunqu Opera by analyzing the publicity of Han Shichang’s public performances of Kunqu Opera in Kyoto and Dalian by various parties. In 1928, to celebrate the enthronement of Emperor Showa, Han Shichang was invited by the South Manchuria Railway Company to perform Kunqu Opera in Kyoto. In the Kunqu Opera brochure titled Chinese Drama: Kunqu Opera and Han Shichang issued by it, which repeatedly emphasized that Kunqu Opera was the most outstanding art in China and even belittled Mei Lanfang's Peking Opera to highlight Han Shichang’s Kunqu Opera, the South Manchuria Railway Company’s purpose was to create the impression that Han Shichang’s Kunqu Opera was the best tribute to the enthronement ceremony of the Emperor or the Japanese Empire. Relatively speaking, the reports published in Manmō, the official magazine of the Sino - Japanese Cultural Association, which was the publicity agency of the South Manchuria Railway Company, had a relatively weak political tinge. Most of them discussed based on the characteristics of Kunqu Opera itself, and some articles even questioned the view that Kunqu Opera represented the level of Chinese drama. On the other hand, the South Manchuria Railway Company also commissioned Aoki Masaru, Tsuji Tyōka and others to promote Kunqu Opera. Aoki's articles mainly outlined the evolution process from southern Kunqu Opera to northern Kunqu Opera from the perspective of the development of traditional operas, and then put forward the view that northern Kunqu Opera was superior to southern Kunqu Opera. Tsuji Tyōka, from the perspective of actual performances, witnessed the process in which the Gaoqiang originating from the rural areas of Hebei gradually transformed into a pure art under the guidance of Wu Mei, Zhao Zijing and others. | |||||
