| 内容記述 | Published in 1906, Riqingyanyu Yitongbian is one of the earliest dictionaries focusing on the Japanese-Chinese homonyms, compiled by Nakajima Kinichiro. Despite its historical importance, both the dictionary and its compiler have received little attention in the academic research. This study seeks to address this gap by reconstructing Nakajima Kinichiro's biography through the analysis of the available materials, which would offer a preliminary overview of his life and contributions. The thesis also examines the dictionary's role in the history of foreign language education in China and Japan. It analyzes the vocabulary within the Riqingyanyu Tongrian from three key angles: the form of the characters, pronunciation, and historical associations. Additionally, the study explores Nakajima's perspective on the Japanese-Chinese homonyms as reflected in his compilation of the dictionary. | |||||||||
