| 内容記述 | The purpose of this study was to investigate individual differences in face recognition ability and to test the conventional theoretical framework of face recognition from a new perspective. Participants were divided into 2 groups (High and Low group) based on SRQ-J scores and tested by CFMT-Chinese and the newly created PWT-Asian version to measure their face recognition ability. The result showed, firstly, the high group consistently performed better on both tests, and there was a strong positive correlation between the SRQ-J and the tests. Secondly, it showed the best performance on eye-matching on PWT-Asian in both groups. Thirdly, even within the high group, individual differences in performance were observed. These results indicate the validity of PWT-Asian and the SRQ-J. However, they suggested that certain criteria are needed to classify individuals with high face recognition ability from super recognizers. | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | 本研究の目的は，顔認識能力の個人差研究により顔認識の理論的な枠組みを新たな観点から検証することであった。SRQ-J得点に基づいて高低に群分けした個人に対し，CFMT-Chineseと，新たに作成したPWT-Asianを実施し，顔認識能力に対する実際の能力を測定した。その結果，第一に，高群の方が両テストで一貫して高い成績を示し，SRQ-Jと課題間に強い正の相関が認められた。第二に，PWT-Asianでは，両群とも目のマッチングの成績が最もよかった。第三に，高群内でも成績に個人差が確認された。以上から，PWT-AsianとSRQ-Jの妥当性は示されたが，顔認識能力が高い個人と超顔認識者を分類する一定の基準が必要なことが示唆された。 | |||||||||
